These computer system labs will serve to lower gaps in access to devices and the Web by providing public computer system access for people with impairments, Marylanders without long-term house (i.e. unhoused), veterans, and our incarcerated & returning residents. The program provides grants of as much as $65,000 for approximately 100% for the creation, upgrade, and/or retrofit of computer system labs/centers throughout Maryland.

Applications closed on November 29, 2024.$2 million is available for this program. The financing source for the program is the American Rescue Strategy Act of 2021 and all federal rules required of the funding use to the program. The Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband is making up to roughly $11.8 million available through Connect Maryland's Network Facilities Grant Program Round 2.

Funding will support tasks that improve broadband transportation capacity, affiliation, resiliency, redundancy, and long-term network scalability. These jobs are planned to enhance the efficiency, dependability, and sustainability of broadband networks serving locals, businesses, and public-interest uses throughout Maryland.
