These computer labs will serve to decrease gaps in access to gadgets and the Web by offering public computer access for individuals with impairments, Marylanders without irreversible house (i.e. unhoused), veterans, and our incarcerated & returning people. The program supplies grants of approximately $65,000 for approximately 100% for the development, upgrade, and/or retrofit of computer system labs/centers throughout Maryland.

Applications closed on November 29, 2024.$2 million is offered for this program. The financing source for the program is the American Rescue Strategy Act of 2021 and all federal rules needed of the funding use to the program. The Maryland Workplace of Statewide Broadband is making up to roughly $11.8 million available through Connect Maryland's Network Facilities Grant Program Round 2.

Financing will support tasks that enhance broadband transportation capacity, interconnection, resiliency, redundancy, and long-lasting network scalability.
